Why Medal Mold Fees Exist (and Why We Eliminate Them)
A custom medal is made by stamping or casting molten metal into a mold. Cutting a fresh steel mold for a brand-new design costs the factory $300-600 and takes 5-7 days. This cost is normally passed to the buyer as a 'mold fee' on the first order, then waived on reorders.
